It happens to everyone. Man gets program, man installs
program, program gets outdated - requires update or patch. Sucks doesn't
it? Well, most programs let you use them although considered outdated but
some just self-destruct themselves. Being on-line gives you the advantage
of having access to all the latest updates and patches. Where to find them?
Nowadays all software companies have a small web site lying around somewhere
in the World Wide Web. When the program gets outdated, it will probably
tell you to visit that site and search for its current version. Other programs
just pop up a window saying "Hey, there is a new version of me out now!
Download it!" or something like that. If you have the time then go ahead
and take it. Though, you might like the version you are using too much
and don't have much of a reason to let it go. Why not visit the web site
offering that update and see what the new version has to offer. If you
like its new capabilities then you'll find a reason to get it.
If you're not sure where to find the newest shareware
or freeware versions on-line, check out the sites mentioned below. They
are big and well informed.
