A Nuke is bad both in Real Life and on the Internet. You
see, this is a weapon users use to kick each other off-line. That's bad
because you have to reboot and then go online again which is boring and
costs a lot of time and money. Think of a nuker like a gun. It kills and
it is something we sometimes keep in a drawer somewhere 'just in case'.
Also, if a kid gets his hands on it, then an accident will happen. Well
those accidents happen online too. You see, when a 'new' user finds a nuker
and understands the -gloss- power of that small program, then he starts
kicking people off the Internet for fun, just to show how powerful he is.
That's why I'm against nukers and I believe that the sick people who invented
them should Get A Life!
The bad thing is that today, over 1000 nukers can be found
out there (different versions included) and in many different places...
who knows maybe someday the Internet will 'grow up'. Have no fear though!
You don't have to get nuked, you can prevent it by using patches or special
programs that watch the port you are likely to be nuked and close it. Don't
install everything you find! Some patches -especially some vip updates-
can harm your system. Try asking your friends who have been online more
time than you have what they've done to keep nukes out. There are solutions
for everything. The Internet is still a beautiful place to be!
