OK, so maybe some little companies that can't sell a thing,
found your e-mail from somewhere (e.g. newsgroup, bbs, mailing list etc.)
and started sending you some stupid leaflets about stuff that don't really
matter you. Most of those companies have a canceling e-mail included, usually
at the end of the letter hidden somewhere (hehe) which
you can use to tell them that you don't want to receive such mail again.
Others don't, so you'll have to reply to their advertisement telling them
that you don't want digital leaflets lying around in your mailbox (you
probably had enough with real life ;-). Well you've done all mentioned
above but.. ohoh, the company completely ignored you! You are still receiving
those annoying e-mails about things that have nothing to do with you. Try
resending the canceling from or e-mailing them again with your E-address
telling them to take you off that list. Still getting Junk Mail?
Well.. in that case, there is only one thing left to do. You must follow
the way a poor guy once started. He starred in such a drama and he was
furious! So, he sent them one-last-email saying in big capital letters:

OK, I'VE WARNED YOU ENOUGH
THAT WAS IT! YOU'LL HAVE A TASTE OF YOUR OWN MEDICINE!
I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WHEN THE NEXT ADVERTISEMENT ARRIVES,
I'LL START SENDING YOU A BIG E-MAIL BOMB
WHICH MEANS 100 E-MAILS PER MINUTE.
I HOPE YOU'LL HATE EVERY SECOND OF DOWNLOADING IT, SWEARING
AT THE MOMENT YOU MESSED WITH ME...

Those were not his exact words but I think you got
my point ;-). I'm sure they did because there was no "next advertisement"
so he never bombed them. That desperate measure is your only way out. Trust
me... It has happened to me and they only stopped when I used the above
lines. Fear no more!
